What percentage of my donations go to the kids?

Annually about 90% of all money raised goes towards the kids. We at PKYF would love it to be 100% but we have some costs that occur to hold our annual fundraising event. An example of such costs are; party rentals, entertainment, and t-shirts.

What year were you established?

Our first annual PK Bike Day was held in 2004, however we did not receive our 501(c)(3) status until 2008.

What are your future plans?

We at PKYF want to continue honoring Patrick Kelley by donating new bicycles to under-privileged children in the Las Vegas community. One of our main goals is to donate at least (1) $25,000 scholarship to college for a deserving Las Vegas student. We also want to help our current scholarship recipients reach their full potential and provide them with financial assistance so they can go to graduate school.

How can I get involved?

We are always looking to involve the community in PKYF! You can contact us to volunteer your time setting up for an upcoming event. If you are looking more on the donation side you can:
1. Have your business be a co-sponsor of PK BIKE DAY. Current corporate supporters include Walmart, ESPN, Penske, and Mass Mutual, as well as a growing number of small local businesses. Please contact us to receive a corporate sponsorship package.
2. Bring a new, assembled bicycle and helmet to PK BIKE DAY. Annually we distribute over 250 bikes from 16” to 24″ in size with safety helmets.
3. Let us do the work for you! Throughout the year you can visit our website and donate now for the purchase of a new bicycle and helmet, or toward our Scholarship Program. Organize a Bike Build. New this year, for a minimum (50) bike donation, the Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation will assist you in organizing a teambuilding bike build for your company or social group.
